Carbon Footprint Management

OUR COMMITMENTS & ACTIONS

At Oltin Gold, environmental responsibility is not an afterthought — it is a core philosophy guiding how we source, refine, manufacture, and innovate. As a modern bullion and precious metals company, we recognise our role in reducing environmental impact across the value chain

We are committed to comprehensive carbon footprint management, focusing on measurable reduction targets, energy-efficient operations, and long-term climate accountability. Through continuous improvement, we aim to help shape a lower-carbon future for the global precious metals industry.

Our approach ensures that every product and process under the Oltin Gold name upholds the highest standards of responsibility, transparency, and environmental stewardship.

What’s Changing

Carbon Measured → Carbon Verified

The previous terminology “Carbon Measured” is now replaced with Carbon Verified, maintaining the same rigorous assessment standards independently verified by the Carbon Trust.

Carbon Neutral → Carbon Reduced

Earlier carbon-neutral classifications often relied on external offsets. Today, our Carbon Reduced category prioritizes real reductions across our operations and supply chain — moving beyond offsetting to drive genuine, year-on-year improvements.

Note: Products certified as Carbon Measured or Carbon Neutral before
March 31, 2025 will keep their respective labels.
About the Carbon Trust

The Carbon Trust provides third-party assurance of our carbon measurement, verification, and reduction procedures. Their role includes:

  • Building a complete carbon footprint model

  • Assessing compliance with ISO 14067 and PAS 2050

  • Conducting independent reviews before certification

Through Carbon Trust verification, Oltin Gold ensures that emissions across our entire value chain (Scope 1, 2, and 3) are fully measured, disclosed, and transparently reported.

Our Labels ‘Carbon Reduced’ and ‘Carbon Verified’

Carbon Reduced Planned Label

This indicates that a product’s carbon footprint has been independently verified according to ISO 14067, and that Oltin Gold has committed to implementing an approved reduction plan. This label is applied during year one as the first step toward achieving full Carbon Reduced certification.

Carbon Reduced Label

Awarded once measurable reductions have been achieved. This reflects:

  • Verified carbon footprint measurement (ISO 14067)

  • Demonstrated CO₂e reductions across the product’s lifecycle, from mine sourcing to end-of-life

  • A long-term commitment to continuous decarbonisation

Carbon Verified Label

This certifies that the product’s carbon footprint has been formally measured and independently verified to ISO 14067 standards.

Available exclusively for B2B products, including gold grains and silver grains.
